RSHE or Relationship, Sex and Health Education is taught in-line with guidance from our Diocese of Nottingham and the Department of Education. Throughout the year, all classes will be following Ten : Ten scheme to ensure coverage of the curriculum.

RSHE lessons form part of our wider ‘Personal Development Curriculum’ taking part through the year according to the Curriculum Long Term Plan.  We block together a section of the programme of study within an annual ‘Well-being week’ which is taught in separate year groups at the start of the Lent term each year. Parents are informed of when the RSHE sessions will take place and what they entail, with the opportunity to  view the materials, ask questions and provide feedback.

Regular consultations are held with parents to take feedback and opinions on the key decisions made by school in the teaching of RSHE. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from them these sessions.
