Design and Technology: Blocked Curriculum

At St Charles, we aim to create a high-quality Design and Technology education.  Using creativity and imagination, pupils design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values. They acquire a broad range of subject knowledge and draw on disciplines such as mathematics, engineering, computing and art. Our curriculum is designed carefully to ensure at least National Curriculum coverage and progression in key skills.

At St Charles, we use a ‘Blocked Curriculum’ model for selected Foundation Curriculum Subjects.  Design and Technology is taught as part of our Blocked Curriculum.
